What is Admitipedia?
Admitipedia is an attempt to put all of the relevant admissions information about colleges in one place. Why should you have to sort through dozens of websites and pdf files when trying to figure out what essays you have to write for college admissions? You shouldn't, and Admitipedia is trying to become a "one stop shop" for information on applying to college.
We need your help! To make Admitipedia a resource for everyone applying to college, we need your help with updating school-specific pages. We've gotten everything started with recent essay prompts, but we need you to be our eyes and ears, to help monitor changes in the admissions process at the schools you're applying to.
Rules for using Admitipedia:
1. Make it better than when you found it. If you think the idea of this site sounds great, then please contribute by adding small chunks of information to the pages of the schools you're interested in. Admitipedia's "Easy Edit" button allows you to edit just about any information on the entire site, and we're relying on you to help us with the Herculean effort to gather this information.
2. Tell your friends. This whole purpose of Admitipedia is to spread accurate information to all college applicants, making everyone's life easier by giving them up-to-date information about the admissions process.
3. Back up your evidence whenever possible by hyper-linking. If we all provide the links to the original pages, then monitoring any changes to a school's policy in the future will be much easier, and any disputes about the accuracy of the information can be traced to the original source.
